Wimbledon 2021: 20 Grand Slams for Djokovic...

With 20 Grand Slams under his belt, the name Novak Djokovic is etched for ever as one of tennis' greatest of all time. If he wins the US Open in September 12 2021, Djokovic would have repeated a feat that only Don Budge accomplished in 1938.

The match between Djokovic and Berrettini began with Djokovic taking an early lead: four games to one in the first set. Then, the Italian Matteo Berrettini's serve and volley game started to take over. Berrettini's many aces and monster forehand winners had become a problem for Djokovic in that set which he lost on a tiebreak 7-5.

Djokovic began the second set with another early lead: Four games to love. Berrettini rallied for another comeback and the crowd got involved in his support. Djokovic put away the second set. (6-4)

By then Djokovic had figured out some flaws in Berrettini's game and a path to victory. The quick returns and body serves multiplied. The ensued Djokovic strategy provoked several key unforced errors from Matteo Berrettini who lost the third set to Djokovic. (6-4)

In the fourth set, the two men looked pretty much like gun slingers going at it toe to toe in the Arizona desert. Each player managed to hold serve up to the fourth game. Then fatigue sets in and Berrettini's shots had lost accuracy. He capitulated the set on his own serve to Djokovic. (6-3)

Congrats to Novak Djokovic! BTW, the referee did an outstanding job.
