Open Letter to the NBA...

For the love of the game. As a fan, I followed the NBA for years. I believe the system to be historically fair in its recruitment practices, namely the NBA draft.

However, I couldn't hide my head in the sand and show no emotions and disappointment from the news I uncovered yesterday about the NBA.

I am writing this open letter because, I believe in this nation and the basic principles in which it was founded.

As a father, I couldn't help but screaming: What went wrong? I couldn't bring the "color line" argument on the NBA, an organization known for hiring black athletes worldwide.

It's probably not my place to bring this to public attention. But something needed to be done and I am willing to vouch for these three GWU students and take the risk.

Why weren't these three top athletes from George Washington University drafted?

Their stats are as good as anybody. Could be found at the George Washington University website... Click on the link and you'll see what I am talking about.

It begs me to question what's going on in the NBA? Year after year, these three all-American talents status remained the same as Free Agents...I think this is shameful...

For the love of the game. What kept any of the NBA teams from hiring these talented young athletes?

Other than playing basketball, is there a future for these athletes once they leave the NCAA arena? Wasn't their ultimate dream the ability to play in the NBA? What went wrong?

Un dimanche sur la plage…

Une prise de vue de l’Océan, ça fait du bien. On passe toute la semaine à bosser sans cesse. Alors vint le week-end. C’est l’heure d’explorer en toute liberté la plage.

Sur cette plage oú les voitures se mirent en file indienne on admire le sable argenté, toile de fond d’une mer bleuâtre et paisible.

La thérapeutique continua quand le curieux visiteur se mit à questionner la scène qui se déroule devant ses yeux. La stupéfaction était à son comble quand il réalise ce lopin n’est pas accessible à tous. Il dut rebrousser chemin, faire demi tour.

Ah, la privatisation d’une plage! Intéressant...

En marée haute comme aux temps des ouragans il n’existe pas de remparts pour retenir les vagues en furie.

Ici à Crescent Beach, on compte sur l’expertise d’une sauveteuse de 20 ans de carrière. C’est ce que m’a dit la sympathique Maurie qui sauva la vie à plus d’une huitaine de personnes…la plupart du temps des vieux qui ne savent pas nager.

Il est à noter que dans ce milieu, il semble exister une certaine subtilité d'un pouvoir qui se croit indestructible…

La curiosité continua lorsque je réalise ce plaisir est exclusif. J'observe cet état de fait en marchant à pied sur une propriété située en amont... et là, j'ai fait une surprenante constatation. Des centaines de chambres sont vides en été.

Que ce passe t-il ? Le pouvoir d'achat a-t-il diminué aux Etats-Unis ?
