There are no other words but, EPIC, to describe today's semi-final match between Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic who came into the match as the underdog, began his sprint to victory at the very first set. While on the verge of losing 5 - 0, Djokovic decided to challenge Nadal. The first set went for Nadal, score 6 - 3 and lasted more than an hour.
On the second, Djokovic continued to challenge every point and managed to hold serve on numerous occasions. He made several unforced errors on that set and won it 6 - 3.
The third set was nothing short of a nail biter. The audience got involved. The situation was so tense at times, that I managed to shove a thermos full of water while jumping out of my chair when Djokovic failed to put away an easy volley... I just couldn't help it... I like Rafa, but I was rooting for Djokovic in that match.
The third set ended in a tiebreak, won by Djokovic. 7 - 6
In the fourth set, Nadal appeared to be hurt, but continued to play. It appeared that something was bothering his foot. Rafa had some moments of flair and brilliance. But his facial expression and the intensity were not the same. He capitulated at 6 - 2 in Djokovic's favor.
The match lasted 4 hours 11 minutes. It was one of the best tennis matches ever seen.
