The last vestiges of Summer remained steadfast. Although Winter is already here as prelude to the holidays, few Bostonians are seen on Summer Street or shopping at MACY’s.
In a month’s time, all that quietness is going to change. On my last visit, the objects of curiosity were the presence of eBikes. Along Summer Street this time, none of these eBikes were sighted. Is it too early to tell?
I imagine a first-time visitor could easily get lost on these winding Centerville roads Working hard and helping passers-by with directions is a gal from Trinidad and Tobago named Yolanda. I witnessed her in action. She looked very effective at her job as she helped a gentleman looking to buy accessories for his phone. On the same street corner, stood a pastor, looking forward to help someone find his way to Jesus Christ.
Other items of curiosity were the incredible amount of colorful flowers, disseminated inside huge vases all around the Summer Street area. They cast an aura of calmness, coupled by a wonderful sound of a piano playing while a flock of birds were heard chirping in the background.
Well, there maybe a reason why they called this place New England…
