It was a record-breaking game where the longest successful field goal attempt in the history of the NFL was broken. A 68-yard field goal!
The game kept everyone watching at the edge of their seats from start to the overtime finish.
The Jacksonville Jaguars won by one point. 30 - 29 But, Ashton Jeanty, the Raiders rookie running back stole the show by scoring his fourth NFL career touchdown! Statisticians from all the networks appeared to be either on vacation or stunned by this event…to this day, they failed to update their websites' statistics correctly…
Pete Caroll, the Raiders football coach, (former Seahawks) made the same decision he has made in the past. With a few seconds left in overtime, the play called was for QB Geno Smith to throw the ball at high traffic into the endzone. It was the quarterback's time to score and win the game for the Raiders at the two-point conversion. That's what the Jaguars did. Likewise, the Raiders should have entrusted such high responsibilities into the hands of the Raiders quarterback Geno Smith...
