As a child, I used to watch in awe at a P-51 Mustang take-off and landing. DC-3s were loaded with passengers. They used to line up for take-off and landing as well. Sikorsky Helicopters, a small red and white trimmed private aircraft...etc. Words on the street or Teledyòl said the latter belonged to JCD.
The P-51 was always the main attraction. I particularly liked watching the rollovers, fake landings, fly-bys and quick climbs with rollovers at a dazzling speed (350mph). I never knew how complicated the gears were on that World War II fighter until this video...
Haitians piloted all of those planes. Today, passenger aircrafts in Haiti are flown by Dominicans.
