Follow-up: U.S 2024 Elections...


 

As we got closer to the final tally of the votes, -currently at 99 percent reporting - the shockwaves of victory and the specter of defeat were clear. 

We need to take a second look at what happened nationally. Using numbers that are posted by Election Officials. Let's take a deep dive together while trying to explain what happened on Super Tuesday, November 5th 2024.

At 99 percent of the precincts reporting, the vote count shows, Vice President Kamala Harris at 74,441,439 (226 delegates) and Donald Trump at 76,917,041 (312 delegates). Donald Trump was declared the winner late on Tuesday night to early Wednesday November 6th.  Between the two candidates, roughly a difference of 2 Million votes.

Let's see how the president elect did on the 2020 Elections, in comparison to 2024.

In 2020, Donald Trump, obtained 74,216,747 votes nationally. The numbers show an increase of 3.5 percent. (In numbers that translates to 2,700,294 more votes).

Although, Democrats obtained 81,268,867 votes for Joe Biden in 2020, at 99 percent of the precincts reporting, that number is 74,441,439 votes for Vice-President Kamala Harris. 

The Democrats vote loss is about 9 percent. Translated into numbers, 6,827,428 electors who voted in the 2020 elections failed to cast their ballots in 2024 for Vice-President Harris.

Voter participation was the real story about the 2024 elections.

In 2020, voter participation rate was higher, nationally, at 96% ; whereas in 2024, that number was estimated at 93%.
